Corn Gluten Meal is a natural pre-emergent herbicide product that is applied in the spring and fall. Corn Gluten prevents weed seeds from properly germinating. Corn Gluten is effective on weeds such as Dandelion and Crabgrass. The Corn Gluten inhibits the root development of the germinating weed seeds and makes the weed very susceptible to dehydration inhibiting establishment. Corn Gluten is also an excellent source of slow release Nitrogen.
